Wanted: CD Typhoon Senior, 22' or 25' east coast of Florida

Post by myhobosoul »

I am looking to buy a Cape Dory 22 or 25 in Miami or within two or three weekend's sail of Miami (or on a trailer).

Anyone have one they are looking to sell?

Preference for the Alberg designed years of the 22 and 25.

Actually, Carl Alberg didn't design the CD25 in any production year. Credit for this seaworthy vessel goes to George Stadel. Check out the CDSOA website for the boat specs.

I love your user name. Great Gillian Welch tune.

You are the first person to recognize that Gillian Welch lyric!

Good point on the CD 25. To be more precise, I should have said that I would be interested in any 25 foot Cape Dory including the 25D. Though, I recognize that those tend to be a bit pricier.

I saw the Typhoon Senior. It seems a bit expensive based on the prices i've come across. I would also rather buy from a private owner rather than a Yacht Broker.

Fixer upper is fine as long as I can sail her from day one. That is, cosmetic problems aren't too big a deal as long as the hull, deck, and standing rigging are in good shape.
