Morse Control Reassembly

Post by J&P »

I made the mistake of taking apart our Morse control to lubricate (it was taking a lot of force to move it into forward or reverse) without taking any pictures first.

When I reassembled the lever and throttle cable move smoothly but the transmission cable no longer moves.

Seem like I reassembled it incorrectly.

Does anyone have a picture of how the cables attach to the control from inside the locker?

It is a 1978 Cape Dory 28 believe it is a MV-1 control.

Do an internet search www.teleflexmarine.com. I found one for the MT-3 controller with full parts breakdown.

RE: Morse control schematic

Post by Jim Buck »

I read a post on this board that referred me to Teleflex for a parts schematic. I called and spoke to a very kind lady who informed me that parts for my control were no longer available but that she could send me a copy of the schematic. I'm sorry I don't have the phone number or the lady's name anymore but a call to Teleflex might help.
