My husband, Rick, has just crafted a totally gorgeous teak sole for the cockpit (yes, he's a wooden boat owner at heart). We have had excellent luck using TufShield on the britework--you'd never know that it wasn't varnished except that it looks good ALL the time instead for a SHORT time. However, TufShield would be much too slick under foot in the cockpit. What do you suggest we do: leave the teak natural, oil it, or some other solution? Thanks in advance for all advice.

The other day, while in my local hardware store I came upon an interesting product, non-skid in an aersol can. Rust-oleum, Hard Hat brand, industrial strength. I found 2 colors, gray and CLEAR. They had a sample of the abrasive on the shelf, it seemed very mild. I have not yet purchased or tried it, however I will the next time I get a chance. If you try it, I would like to know how it works and if you like it.
