It was my first CDSOA function. I am glad I went. Although I did not know anyone when I entered Newick's, I was greeted at the door and then introduced to another couple (Dennis and Susan) with a similar model as ours. I felt like I was with friends.
It was a friendly social afternoon. I got to connect a few faces with the names of posters on this board. Got to talk to a few others. Although I could not stay very long (my wife was home with the flu - needed to bring her a lobster pie - medicinal), I felt welcomed and encouraged that owning and sailing a Cape Dory is a wonderful thing.
So, as soon as I got home, I did submit my CDSOA membership form on-line. The August Maine cruise sounds intriguing...
