Tennis's Album Cape Dory

Post by MarcMcCarron »

Tennis is a husband and wife team from Denver that's releasing an album
Called "Cape Dory". Evidently they sailed the east coast on a used boat that they purchased before releasing the album/CD. Does anyone have details of there adventure? Did they sail a CD and if so what flavor?

A few of their songs can be found on the net.

They have a blog site and I read it when its updated but I can't seem to find the address. I'll look around.

You might try doing a search on this board (if you haven't already done so).

They started a thread on this board just a few weeks ago mentioning their music with a link to their blog. It should be easy enough to find the thread.

Wheel or tiller

Post by SwiftRanger »

Ha! We are touring with our band in Europe right now, missing our boat and reading the Cape Dory forum as usual. A poor substitute for actually being on our boat. But we'll be back in the Bahamas in April!

About our boat, the previous owner was a bit older and wanted to install a hydraulic wheel that could be engaged when the steering got tough. We prefer the tiller, but the hydraulic wheel aft can be nice in big seas. It's just a little weird going between the two as you have to discharge all the hydraulic fluid from the reservoir by moving the tiller back and forth (with difficulty) about 10 times.

Hope you guys like the blog!

Thanks! I know what you mean, Philly is a great city, but the venues are in some pretty tough places. Make sure you come and introduce yourself, we'd love to talk to you in person.

Cheers,
patrick
