Small Bronze wanted

Post by rollo_cd26 »

I am looking for a single drop board tang bracket (the oval thing on the drop board door that is used to lock the companion way), and a single bronze port dog, and knob of any size (7/16" or 3/8").

When I bought mine, it didn't come with the bronze screws. So get them ahead of time.

I was hopeful of avoiding the excessive price that Spartan requires for such simple and crudely fabricated items. I figure someone has parted out the bronze parts from a CD or other boat. I am patiently looking for both parts.

If you have more time than money or just need a winter project it would be easy enough to make one. Bronze works very nicely.

I had an old bronze stern tube sort of thing from a power boat that I cut a couple of pieces out of the make the backing plates for a second set of combing cleats. You can not tell which ones are the Spartans.

The knob you will have to buy, Steve.
