Fixed sheaves in CD25 mast?

Post by Tom Foley »

I was lubricating all sheaves before lauching next week and noticed that the sheaves in the top of the mast do not move. Are they fixed or frozen by corrosion?

I also have considerable difficulty pulling the main up the last foot. It sticks even though the track and slides have been lubed. Help!

The sheave on my 25 were moveable. I suspect yours are corroded.I soak the shafts with penatrating oil and try to get them all out and apart. Clean em up good and then lube. I don't have any insight on the main but it may have something to do with the non turning sheave. Good luck!
