I found this 1983 CD30 fixer-upper listed for $12,000 on boats for all of you with that uncontrollable urge to take on a project.

Please don't make fun of me for not knowing, but what is wrong with a gasoline tank in the cockpit locker?

Since gas fumes are heaver than air and explosive, portable gas containers, if carried on board should be stored in the open air such as being lashed to a rail.

Gas inboards will have a engine compartment blower which is run to clear compartment of any potential fumes.

Maybe. Hurricane damage from 2009. Steering broken, engine iffy, halyards with only core hanging, all running rigging exhausted, no water system functioning (pump or pressure), all through hulls frozen open, and the list goes on.

But it floats and is water tight at the moment, so we can only make improvements from here!
