Leaking Spartan opening ports

Post by Blue Blade »

Four days of heavy rain in Tampa Bay area reveal that my ports are not so well sealed. Opening ports in the saloon of my Typhoon Senior are in need of some work. Does this require that the entire port be rebedded? It's not flooding, just obvious and enough to be annoying. Thanks.

Are you sure the water is coming in between the port and the cabin? It might just be time to replace the rubber gaskets (a far easier job). The rains in Jacksonville have proven the age of my gaskets- I'm getting a few leaks here and there during heavy downpours, but nothing in most showers. I know there is a link posted somewhere in this forum for a source for the gasket, but I can't recall where.

Thanks Jeff. I think you're right. I'll start with the gaskets. Joe
