We may be relocating to New Zealand either for a few years or permanently, and I'm considering what to do with my Ty. We can leave her in the care of a friend, and then we'd have something to sail when we come back to the US for visits, or when/ if we move back permanently. Or, we can sell her and pick up another one when/ if we come back. We would be moving in Jan 2011.
So, I suppose I'm testing the waters to see what the sale price may be, and if anyone may be interested? She's in great shape: original gel coat is in good shape, main, jib, and 130 genoa all in good shape, brand new trailer ($2600), lots of new hardware (bronze cleats, stainless Garhauer blocks, Spartan seacocks), re-bedded and re-sealed and to all appearances watertight, new running rigging, teak is restored & refinished, motor runs great, bronze motor mount, rot-doctor-repaired aft deck, no cabin compression, many accessories. She spent most of her life in fresh water, and only began salt-water sailing when I bought her a few years back. She's really is a turn-key daysailer, with very little if anything left to do. I just had her in the water this weekend and she sings like a siren.
BTW, we're located in coastal Georgia, in case anyone's interested.
