lost two Doraids sp? this weekend. the cute littel vent covers that pop off and sink..
Anyone know where to buy the replacement for the cd 27? and hw to keep them from popping off?

Discovered a great place to rest while others sail the boat,,the aft rail just behind the tiller..the boat looks great from that new angle..New for me..Just enjoying her ..

I lost one last year too. Replacements are available at Boat US. The replacement has a piece to add on that prevents loss.

It's "Dorade" or actually Dorade Box - was it Olin Stephens who invented this waterproof ventilator box in the '30's, first installed on an ocean racer named "Dorade" hence the name? If memory serves, which it usually doesn't

I've seen plenty of replacement plastic cowlings in West and Boat/US.... and yes, the view from the lazarette hatch on our CD27 is quite lovely isn't it!
