The boat I have for sale is a 1979 CD Typhoon Weekender. It has been garaged for the last 4 years and was sailed on the water occasionally. It appears to have all of it’s parts, but it will need some tender loving care regarding a new paint job, varnishing, replacing some interior cushions and an interior hatch cover. Otherwise, all of the riggings, sails, ropes, mast, etc. appear to be in great shape. No wood rot or blisters or cracks anywhere on the boat.
The trailer has a cross bar that needs to be replaced and I have the cross bar as well, it just needs to be welded on. The boat has no name, but was owned by a man named Loomis.
How I came to own the boat is that I purchased the boat from my neighbors about 3 months ago for my stepson who in the Airforce and has now been deployed to Kuwait. He will be there for at least the next 12 to 18 months and will not be able to sail the Cape Dory boat. Since I am not a sailor, the boat needs to find a new home.
I paid for the boat for $2900.00 and would be willing to let it go for that. Please let me know if you are interested.
Thanks, Southernrooster
