For Sale: 1977 Typhoon Open Cockpit Daysailer (G model, no cuddy)
Reason: Just purchased newer sailboat.
Location: Newnan, GA (approx. 25 miles south of Atlanta)

This is a bit of a project boat but is absolutely sailable as is. It comes with a nice trailer (paid $1,200 for it). I just had a gentleman who repairs sailboats look at it and he considered the bottom to be in pretty good shape and structurally sound. It will need new paint but didn't appear to have any blistering.

The deck is also in pretty good shape. The gelcoat has some minor cracking.

Most of the teak toe-rail is salvagable but needs work, the teak bench seats appear to be repairable and the tiller is OK.

The floor of the cockpit needs the most work. I believe some of it needs to be re-cored. Lots of cracks.

The mast and boom are good, the goose neck needs to be replaced or fixed.

The sails are OK. Brass jibhanks and "Ty" on the main lead me to believe they may be original.

It has oarlocks and it came with oars that need refinishing.

Asking $1,700 negotiable.
