1981 Cape Dory 25 For Sale ( w/ trailer )

Well, I've had to face the future, and I won't have the time to work on this boat, and perhaps less time to sail it. I bought it last fall in Norwalk, CT from a interesting man who had to give up sailing. The boat was in the water, and he had sailed it just a few days beforte. We motored from the slip to the marina crane, so I know the engine works. The boat needs to be cleaned, inside and out. The hull ( original gel coat ) needs to be buffed with a few scratchede that need minor gel coat repair. There are minor crazings on the deck that should be filled. The cockpit floor is crazed and should be repaired. There are no apparent problems with the core. All the electronics work, as does the manual bilge pump. It could use new halyards. The list:

- Yamaha 8 hp two stroke engine ( 2005 )

Tandem axle trailer
- custom made ( professional job )
- new tires
- all new bearings
- new disc brakes
- new surge actuator
- new brake lines
- new lights and wiring

Dingy ( needs some fg repair/ easy job )
- hard shell
- engine: Evinrude Junior in excellent shape

This is the desireable, later boat with bronze ports and other improvements. The boats needs TLC attention to be perfect.
It can be trailered anywhere as the trailer tows very smoothly and easily. I pulled it with a Ford F150 V*.
