email while underway

Some folks were asking me about pocketmail the other day and i thought i would post my observations for the list.

I´ve had pocketmail for about a month now and it can´t be beat for the boat on the go.

At the moment I´m in finland and am getting my email, via pocketmail from here with no problem.

the unit has performed VERY well all the way back from the bahamas and north bound.

can´t say enough good things about it.

it´s my answer to email underway, it works from ANY telephone.

the unfortunate part is you can´t log into the internet and pick up this list, but nothing is perfect.

We have other friends who are cruising in the Bahamas and enjoying the convenience of pocketmail. If you come inside before rounding Hatteras, let us know.

How good is "pocketmail" with a digital cell phone like PCS? How long does it take to receive and send a typical message? What's the cost information?
