Re: Does Anyone Know
Don't have anything like that on my boat, cd28 #346 1983. Can you remove the panel or get behind the panel, from the lazerette? It could be something added by previous owner?Mac Taylor wrote: Can anyone out there in CD cyberland please tell me what the two chrome knobs at the top of the AC breaker box are?? I checked the AC box on my CD28 (1983), here is what I found.
I have a teak box (10"w x 10"h x 4"deep) mounted on the aft galley bulkhead, just to starboard. On the teak box is a metal plate (8"w x 5"h). On top of the plate says 'CAPE DORY YACHTS'. Below that to the left is a switch labeled 'AC MAIN 120V 30A'. Below that are two indicator lights side by side; one red (left) 'PILOT', the other orange 'POLARITY REVERSED'. On the right side of the panel are 3 switches mounted one over the next. The first two are labeled 'BATT CHRG' & 'OUTLETS', the third is vacant/not labeled.
This looks like orginial CD installation.
One of my projects was to pull out all of the old wire, re-wired all of the AC, installed another outlet/box, and put a GFI in the lead outlet/box.
Hope this helps, good luck.
John
