Unbelievable. I missed the start by 15:52. But hey this is a long leg, so it's a wash!

I'm Jessica. Seajunkie had to take Mrs. Junkie out for dinner. I missed the start. We are going out of town for the week. I see Jessica crashing into land before the week is over. Bad timing.

Volvo Ocean Racer's

We went to the boat for the weekend, for a real race, on a real boat, in real wind. Just got home and found out we lost about 140,000 places. Oh well, it's a long race and it's early. Now we have good boat speed and a good sailing angle.

Did OK until i ran into china twice on leg 4. Is there a cape dory group? how do i find you? For real sailing, I have so much snow in my backyard I can barely dream of taking the cover off. As it piles up, so does the to do list.......

Roy,

I think you were the Auburn in the Vendee virtual race, no? Good showing!

There is a Cape Dory group; perhaps someone else can give you the simple way to find it. I don't even remember how I finally did it, just that it was akin to making my way through a corn maze. . .

Cheers,
Judith

Roy,
As far as I know the other Cape Dory boats are Robt A Stewart, Mame Hommedieu, knotTy Boy, SV Tadpole, CD 27 Coquine, Elan Celeste, Jessica Rabbit.
If you go to "My Account" at the top of the page and then "groups" scoll down to about 5 or 6, (numbers in team) and you will eventually find "Team Cape Dory" started by John Martin.

Thanks Judith, I did race as Auburn in the Virtual Vendee Globe. And having finished it, I am nursing this new obsession -- the Volvo. I have requested to join the group, and will befriend each of you. See you on the screen. Go east!

"Go east" indeed! Easy to see why sailors have historically dreaded The Doldrums!

And, while I'm at it, who is "Blind Faith"??
