A tecent resurge in interest in Typhoon daysailers in the Chesapeake Bay leads to the question, how can we locate these owners and perhaps form an informal association with the poossibilities of a get together?

Re: Typhoon directory
In addition to posting a notice on this board, you could look at the directory of Typhoon owners at <a href="http://www.shrinking-planet.com/typhoon ... ex.html</a>. Perhaps the webmaster at that site will put a notice up there for you.Ralph Rose wrote: A tecent resurge in interest in Typhoon daysailers in the Chesapeake Bay leads to the question, how can we locate these owners and perhaps form an informal association with the poossibilities of a get together?
You could also write to Noel Peattie and ask to put a notice in his Typhooner newsletter - see <a href="http://www.toolworks.com/capedory/ccdol ... oreInfo</a>.

Re: Typhoon directory
The idea of a typhoon directory is an excellent one.Ralph Rose wrote: A tecent resurge in interest in Typhoon daysailers in the Chesapeake Bay leads to the question, how can we locate these owners and perhaps form an informal association with the poossibilities of a get together?
I have owned a '74 typhoon for the last seven years
and it remains my prized posession. I have cruised around
much of Florida's coastline in that time, and have become
somewhat of an authority on typhoon camping(or is it cramping).
We still get lots of attention from the big boys out on the water.
It takes nerve, I guess, to cruise in a 19 foot boat.
The directory would be an excellent way to exchange information
and to share our enthusiasm. Keep me posted.
