The decision will be made on Thursday (tomorrow). Right now, all the weather forecasts seem okay for Saturday, although they have different views of wind direction. The marine weather forecast shows east winds at 5-10. Sailflow shows a southwesterly at about 10.John Ring wrote:... there was talk of pushing the race back to Sunday if need be.

Friday looks like the real problem
Several of us who need to sail either from the north or south to Boston Harbor on Friday are watching the forecast carefully. Now the NOAA marine coastal forecast is calling for winds 15 to 25, with gusts to 30 with 8 to 11 foot seas for Friday. I plan to wait for the Thursday forecasts then make a decision. My biggest problem is that I won't want to go single handed. Anybody in the Boston area free and looking for a sailing adventure on Friday?
