Gel coat question

What color tint or tints would one use to go from white to Cape Dory hull offwhite? Black? I need to fill a small gouge before relaunch post Ike and have never worked with gel coat before. Thank you and Cheers. Charlie

This can be made as easy or as difficult as you want it to be.
Forget an "exact!" match even if you had the original formula.
Start with:
black only
black and yellow
black, yellow, and red
PM me your results.
Naturally you will be doing this off the boat.

As I recall, I used white and brown. Pretty sure that was it. I added just a dab of color at a time to the uncatalyzed gelcoat till I got a match (edit: then allowed gelcoat to sit a few minutes and flash to ensure color match), then I catalyzed it and applied it.
