Repowering a 1978 CD Sloop

It is time for a third rebuild on the farymann diesel but would instead like to replace the motor with something new and of a higher horsepower. I have read through past posts on repowering but would like to hear from anyone that has replaced the diesel on a 28' and what they replaced it with. I am also interested in any advice anyone has to offer. Thanks in advance!

Is your Farymann an A30?
I know the Beta 14 comes with all kinds of special mounting feet including mounts for the A30.
