Due to work load and lousy weather (the usual excuses). I have been tied to the dock for a while. To alleviate the boredom, I made a bunch of improvements to the galley. What you should see is a picture of my galley with the counter extensions up. This is my first attempt at posting same so lets see what shows up.
I like the extension over the port settee, it adds a decent amount of counter space and just folds away. From the picture it looks like original factory work.
The meat of the shelf is 3/4" teak plywood. I suppose you could laminate two layers of 3/8" and get the same result. I made the fiddles from solid teak and found a match for the mica color. There are dozens of "off" whites so matching whats in the boat took a bit of time at the mica supplier. I had to buy a full 4x8 sheet of "vertical grade" and since this project I have found numerous projects on the boat that I can use the rest for. Since its the same color as the headlining I have used some to relaminate panels that the PO put holes in. The vertical grade is about half the thickness of the horizontal grade and works much easier. I used piano hinges and the support for the wing is drop leaf table hardware, such as:
