I'd like to thank Leo and Ruth MacDonald of Lisbon, Connecticut, for their gracious hospitality and for providing their house as a meeting place for the "Northeast" Cape Dorians to meet. (By the way, their place is a B&B, The Lonesome Dove. Ruth provided a wonderful lunch, so I'll bet breakfasts are great too!)
Twenty-one CD owners, from New Jersey to Massachusettes, including the MacDonalds, showed up to talk about their CDs, share their thoughts about forming a new club or joining the already established CDSOA as a new fleet, and about planning our next rendezvous -- currently scheduled for July 7-9 during the Tall Ships Celebration in New London, CT.
It was great! Everyone was involved, excited and interesting.
Leo MacDonald is now our fleet captain (that's what happens when you lead the way by hosting a meeting) and I am the fleet secretary.
I'll provide more info in a future posting.
