Compression Test diesels ?

Is it possible to compression test a diesel ? How ? I always thought of compression testing through spark plug holes ?

Also, is there a similar " leak down " test for a diesel as there is for a gas engine ?

The answer to both your questions is "yes". The test is done just like a gas engine. The test is made by removing the injectors and installing the guage into the opening vacated by removing the injector. You need to consult your owner's manual for the values appropriate to your engine.
