Here is my next question: When installing a mast-head fly to the Typhoon mast-head, how do you know if the angle is evenly split within the stationary arms.

Just "eyeball" it the best you can and then go sailing! After a few sails in various conditions, you'll learn how to "read" the angles and know when you can pinch it a little bit tighter than usual or not. The best part of this task is that you're sailing...
