After Almost Twenty Years

Post by David Sabourin »

Yes, it has been almost twenty years since I bought the Mad Hatter (CD36 Hull#151) and it was brand new! After all this time and over 60,000nms we may be ready to move up in length and acquire a 41 boat with an inside steering station...It's a Sceptre 41 and a beauty. Does anyone out there in CD land know any history on this boat? If so, please contact me and let me know the story........not many made and they are from Seattle area.

Great boat

I've been a closet junkie on this boat for years.

If I ever leave off CD's its my next boat.

Sceptre 41

Post by Dana »

David,
I had the chance to spend four days and three nights on a Sceptre 41 sailing in the Puget Sound. The boat was responsive
and easy to sail, although our conditions were limited to fairly smooth water and 8 to 10 knots of breeze.
I will gladly fill you in on the boat's + and - IMHO at dlsewall@comcast.net.
