Glue removal from Avon

Post by John Nuttall »

Hi,
I am changing the registration numbers on a used Avon and have some old advesive residue stuck to the tubes. Before I start dumping chemicals on it I thought someone might have a suggestion for removing the adhesive without damaging the hypalon.......

Thanks,

John, What the authorized dealers use to remove old patches or the towing ring pads and things like that is a heat gun. It may be a different kind of glue, but you might give it a cautious try. Peanut butter also works on some glue -- something about the oiliness.
