Clarification of Request Re: Mack Sail Loft

Post by Richard G »

Thanks to those who have replied to my earlier posting. What I really am seeking is anyone who has had personal experience dealing with this sail loft i.e MACK SAILS, and can offer a recommendation about them either good, or bad.

Also interested in opinions about mailing away for sails as opposed to having the sailmaker survey the boat first hand.

Thanks again.

Richard,

I sent the 120 roller furler yankee off my CD36 to them because it had been rolled up the wrong way and had UV damage when I bought the boat. They saved the sail by sewing a UV protective strip on. They did a good job, in a timely fashion and at a good price. And it was a job that no-one else wanted to deal with. I am very happy that I can get good service out of the sail for a long time to come.

They are a small family run loft and will give you personal attention I believe. I would have no problems with dealing with them again and, in fact, when I'm in Florida next winter, I will have them install a bat-car system for the main.

Greg

Mack Sails is a quality, first class sail loft located in Stuart, Forida. Brad has made many sails for me over the years including a new main and MPS for my CD 28. I would recommend him to anyone.
