CD 27 mast dimensions

Can anyone tell me what the circumference of a CD27 mast is? I'm in the process of ordering a new mainsail cover from JSI.

Doug,

Just measured mine for you. 16-1/4" by my tape measure, just above where my cover sits. It appears to be straight most of the way up.

I measured my mast circumference when building a Sailrite mainsail cover but did not adequately allow for the main and spinnaker halyards. Fortunately, there was enough extra fabric to correct the error. So don't forget to include any halyards and cleats that will be covered by the throat of the mainsail cover.

Mast mounted winches too

Post by Warren Kaplan »

My mainsail cover got pretty warn from "pressure" over mast mounted winches covered by the fabric. The sailmaker then put some reinforcing chafing patches over the area where the cover goes over the winches. Also something to consider when measuring and building the sailcover.

Thanks guys. It is difficult to upgrade and work on your boat when it is in Mexico.
