winch position/placement

I recently bought a cd26 that i am currently restoring.
My problem at this point is where on the deck do my
port and starboard winches belong... along side of the
cockpit/fore/aft??? I haven't a clue. Can anyone help me with this?

A picture is worth a thousand words. Take a look at the home page of this web site for a photo that will show where the winches go. Since yours are missing. Check for screw holes .
