Floor lifting ring
Im looking for a replacement for a floor board lifting ring It is original, brass and 1.5 inch in diameter. Spartan Marine does not carry them anymore and most other suppliers seems to stock something similar but in 1 5/8 diameter. Is there a source for older CD parts?

Get the 1 5/8" ring
Hello Wanderlust,
I just replaced my lifting ring on the bilge hatch cover with a 1 5/8" brass ring from Jamestown Distributors.
Remove your existing ring, center the new ring upside down around the existing mortised out area and scribe around the new ring with a utility knife to the depth of the existing mortise. Use the utility knife to cut away the wood to enlarge the mortise to the new radius. The existing screw holes will work fine.
You may have to chisel or cut out a bit more wood around the hinge area in order for it to lift up and down without any interference.
Here's a link to the hardware:

Hope this helps,
