I was wondering if anyone might know the wherabouts of CD 28, hull number 50 (I believe 1975 vintage). It was my Dad's old boat and contains some great memories. Thanks.

Re: Was she ever documented & do ya know the number?
Joe,
If the answer to both is yes, enter the USCG web site at uscg.mil, enter the documentation center and search for that number. It will tell you if she is currently documented, her current name, and maybe where she is. If all you have is her original name, but don't know the doc. number, ya can search the center on name alone, but you will get EVERY documented vessel of that name.
I know this isn't a lot of help, but it is a start....

Re: Location of CD 28, hull number 50
My Dad's CD 28, hull 50, was traded in (I believe) to Ryder(Rider?) Boats, makers of the Southern Cross, in Rhode Island around 1979-1980.
The CD (then named Chantey) was sailed in Long Island around the Southold area for the years before that. Thanks for any help you might give.
By the way, I bought my own CD 27 this past year - they are great boats.
