Friends,
For those of you who don't know, my beloved CD 30, Abre Alas went aground in Hurricane Katrina. She may have been salvaged at that point but I was crippled up after a drunk driver hit me head on and nearly cost me my life. Bythe time I was able to get to her and remove parts, she had been looted and abused.
I tried to salvage parts for other CDers but by the time I got back to her, there was nothing left.
I did (or do) have five sails at home which I am starting to list on ebay. The first sail has been listed under the heading 'Sailing hardware and gear" and will close in about three days.
The other four sails will be listed very soon.
I invite my friends and fellow CDers to look at them and bid as you see fit.
I thank you all for your kind comments concerning the loss of a magnificent boat.
Sincerely,
Paul Hierstein
