Re: Replacing Fram fuel filter
I added a primer bulb (like on outboard motor) next to fuel tank, works very well, the Westerbeke engine has a self priming fuel pump, but it still speeds the process. Where did you purchase the replacement filter?

After much confusion and debate, I purchased this unit for 149.99 (on sale) delivered from GO2 marine. Have Westerbeke 13. Unit appe...

Full Batten Main
Have not found any negatives. If there is one, it is that it can put extra wear on the sail from catching on the topping lift (if not set properly). I don't see how it could put more stress on the boom.??
Full battens are useful/beneficial with Lazy Jacks.

Force 10 Heater
The Force 10 worked find on the CD 270, my centerboard line is down below, out of the table. The stove was mounted in the cabin, portside of the mast (keel stepped) The stove pipe was mounted behind the mast (portside). Heated the boat, no problem...low use of LP.

Don't worry...be happy!
If you have two good batteries, you should be good to go. Unless your bilge pump is running day and night. Your auto bilge pump should be run to 1 battery bypassing the switch Go out to your boat, as I am sure you will do, start the engine, run around the harbor and enjoy(your engine , you & you...
