bottom paint for inland lake

I am ready for bottom paint. My Typhoon will be in the water 4 months of the year, and on a trailer the rest of the year. The lake is fresh water in western N.Y. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Trevor

Do check for balsa core damage around chain plates, fittings, and the deck in front of the cabin. I replaced the deck from the cabin forward, and it was a big job. If I had a yard do the job the expense would be as much as I paid for the boat.

Good luck

This type of thing is common in general aviation. Compensation for non Commercial pilots. This is covered clearly early on in training. I have never heard of anyone being prosecuted, but the rules are clear. Depends on the mood of the inspector.

Teak Cover

Definitely a modification to gain access to the lazarette.

Typhoon Rudder Removal

Does anyone have any suggestions on removing the tiller fitting on the top of the rudder shaft?

scribed boot stripe

I am removing the bottom paint from my Typhoon and have found a scribed boot stripe. Was this done at the factory? I have never seen the boat in the water, should I trust the scribe marks?

Thanks,

Typhoon differences

Looking at many pictures of CD Typhoons I noticed differences in where the rudder post enters the cockpit. Some are flush, and some have a small fiberglass tower built around the rudder shaft. Why the deference in manufacturing? Any problems with either arrangement?

Thanks,

Towing capacity

I have an 05 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.8l V6 engine. Can anyone tell me if this van is capable of towing a Typhoon.

Thanks,

Typhoon trailer

I know there have been many posts on this subject. Sorry!

I found a Ty that I would like to purchase, but no trailer. The boat and new trailer are out of my price range.
If anyone knows of a used trailer please let me know.
