Cape Dory 14 for sale SE Florida
I have two restored CD 14 early 70s complete with all original gear. I want to sell either one. One is flag blue and the other white. Both have sail rigs. Either could go with a good trailer, and a new sail, or a bare boat with oars. Use of the trailer is available for delivery. The wood on both is v...

Storm sail
I found a small storm sail while cleaning out that I think came from one of my small Cape Dorys. I doubt it has ever been hanked on. It measures 10' on the luff and 4' on the foot. There is no sailmakers label. It seems well made and sturdy weight. If anyone has any interest, I can send a picture if...

CD 14 sail
I just had a new sail made by Doyle [Super Sail] that came out a perfect fit for my original spars. There is a wear/reinforcement patch that needs to be just right for the jaws of the gunter. The price was also right. The specs should be in the Doyle data system.

Thanks for the offer, but it's for my heavy catboat and it needs the three blade. Ron B

Propellor wanted 12X7RH
I am in need of a three bladed RIGHT hand propwith a 1" bore. A 12"X7 would be ideal, but an inch either side for diameter or pitch would work. It doesn't need to be perfect, but usable.

Cd 14 gaff
Wow! Exactly what I was looking for. Your information tells me the one set of old spars are truly to original dimensions and I can build from them. Actually we have three old CD14s that are in various stages of renovation. One is now complete with the addition of a new sail [that we are now sure is ...

CD14 gaff
As I get more into this. I question if I have the exact right length for the base mast. This would definately have an effect on halyard connection and boom height. Them old mast [original? ] that came with one boat measures 12 feet. Ropn B

CD14 gaff
I appreciate this help. I have two 14s I have restored and am rigging and want to get it right. One of the boats had what I was told was the original spars, and a friend sent me an old blue and white nylon sail for a pattern. They would indicate the gaff is a little over 10' as is the boom. My new s...

CD 14 Gaff size
I just got a new sail from Super Sails made to the original specs, and now think my gaff is not right. The new sail has areinforceing patch 7' down from the peak. This would indicate the gaff should be 7' long. The old rig that came with the boat has a gaff that is 10' same as the boom. My ancient n...

CD 25 or 22 main for sale
Spring cleaning. I found a decent main in the attic that came off either a 22 or25 {25 I think] It measures 10' 6" on the foot and 22' on the luff. It has two reefs, a Johnson Sails logo. barrel slides, and all the battons. Other than some wear on the luff at the top where it must have rubbed o...

CD 14 oars
we now have three of these great boats in our family. I agree the Shaw Tenny are the best except for maybe the price. I tried making my own from laminated construction grade spruce which look nice but are too heavy. I priced real Sitka spruce and got a sticker shock at $25 a board foot. The off the ...

CD 22 motor
I feel the need to get my two cents worth in here because I am the owner of a CD 22 referred to here-in. What is the best motor for a CD 22? The question should be what is the safest? A husky sailer could paddle a 22 across the harbor in dead calm. A 2 hp will get it around fine in mild conditions a...
