Ahoy,
Can anyone recommend a surveyor close to P'town?
Thanks!
May also be looking for a boat hauler and recommendations for that would also be helpful. (Provincetown to Lake Champlain)

ouch
Certainly THE most expensive asking price for a 22D I've ever seen. Anxious to see where the pricing ends up as I'm currently in the market for a 22D.

Typhoon roller furling headsail
Ahoy group. I am seriously considering making the leap to a furling headsail this season. I'm looking for feedback on what size sail folks have found works best. I'm leaning towards a 135. I'm anxious to hear what the board has to say. I'm also interested in any opinions that would dissuade me from ...

Looking for a sail on the West Coast
Ahoy group, We have taken the summer off, purchased an RV and are travelling across the country. Sounds great right? One problem; my beloved Typhoon is on the hard in Charlotte VT and her cockpit won't be seeing my butt this summer. We are currently in Coeur D'Alene and heading for Port Townsend. On...

Mounting a Windex on a TY
Does anyone here have experience/advice on mounting a Windex to a Typhoon mast? The mounting bracket seems to have several options, but what is the BEST approach for attaching?
Many Thanks!

Boat Surveyor in Conneticut
Does anyone have a contact for a boat surveyor near Branford CT? I have finally found a Typhoon that seems worthy, but would like to have a professional go over the boat.

thanks for the advice
I like to tackle projects myself, but I understand the wisdom in hiring someone who "knows" what they're doing. You can't put a price on peace of mind.

replacing seacocks in a Typhoon
Can anyone provide a detail on what is involved in replacing frozen seacocks (from the cockpit). The existing ones look like the type that are on your house to turn your hose on- round not a lever type. The ones on the Typhoon I'm looking at are frozen open.

not an option
I could do that, but I'd be falling into the same pattern of neglect that the current owner has exhibited. It's like asking "Why paint your house. Just live in it" At some point maintenance HAS to be done. I can only guess at how much 8 layers of bottom paint weights. Pretty sure it's not ...

bottom scraping and beyond
Folks, I'm looking to get a quick "schooling" on bottom work. Let's say you were going to buy a Typhoon that had about 8 years worth of bottom paint on it. What is the process (and tools) needed to scrape it off? Is sanding required in addition to scraping? What is the most cost effective ...

missed opportunity
Was someone else able to take advantage of the situation? There are plenty of folks out here ready to buy a Ty and realize we'd better take advantage when the opportunity presents itself! If the boat is still available can you let the rest of us know so someone here can give her a new home? ________...
