'77 Cape Dory 25 for sale
For sale is my '77 CD25. I bought her last yea uhr, and spent months stripping and refinishing all exterior brightwork with 3 coats Cetol Natural Teak, followed by 3 coats Cetol high gloss. I've primed and painted all nonskid areas with total boat primer and nonskid paint. I compounded and waxed the...

Re: Starview 1985 Cape Dory 36’ cutter for sale
Good evening/morning, My name is Travis Wilson, and I am very interested in Starview. I was hoping to come by and take a look at your earliest convenience. I'm actually going to be very near you this afternoon looking at a CD33 for sale, but my heart is set on a 36. Please call, text, email, carrier...

CD25 brightwork
So, thanks to Smitty, owner of Innisfree, I decided not to shortcut and removed every piece of teak from Slainte's exterior, sanded, cleaned and brightened today. Puschased Cetol Natural Teak and High Gloss. Never used Natural Teak before, nor seen in person. This is my first go around with the teak...

Re: CD 25 cockpit drains?
I'll have to take another look this weekend. Of course the day I removed the pipe, I only had that flexible PVC tubing with me and they were calling for rain the next day. So I shoved the plastic shopping bag in the drain pipe, fashioned a cup out of some reynolds wrap that was on board, and hose cl...

Re: CD 25 cockpit drains?
Thanks Jean. I definitely think some heat will be needed to soften things up a bit. Unfortunately, that was the only photo I had on my phone. The trouble I'm having is that there's only about 2" between the fittings, and looks like the max length hose I will be able to fit is about 3 1/2",...

CD 25 cockpit drains?
Good morning all, So, does anyone have any experience/advise on replacing CD25 cockpit drain hoses? Mine appear to be wire reenforced radiator hose or similar? Due to them being below water line and constantly submerged in salt water, they haven't faired well. I had to cut the one to remove it, and ...

Re: CD 25 coaming board repair?
Thanks, that's good to hear. I obviously don't have the missing piece, but I was able to get my hands on come scrap. The are has been sanded down to remove and sharp edges. I'm guessing it can hurt to cut out what's there and add a new piece, I've tried googling and you-tubing, but can't find an exa...

CD 25 coaming board repair?
Hey all, I bought a CD25 a couple weeks ago, and I'd like to repair/replace the stbd side coaming board. Not exactly sure what happened, maybe winch cleat pulled free? Anyway, sorry for bad pic, didn't think to take a better one when I washed the boat, if you zoom in you'll see what I've got. I pick...

Re: Max size 4 stroke outboard for CD 25 well?
Thank you both for the replies! I bought her on Saturday, and she comes with a 6hp Merc. I know it's a sailboat, but I after towing another gentleman home in his Catalina last Saturday, I like having an engine for when the winds die down. I figured if I was going to buy a new motor, might as well ge...

Max size 4 stroke outboard for CD 25 well?
Hey all, I just joined and posting my first of likely many questions. I'm planning to buy a '77 CD 25, and wondering if anyone knows the maximum size 4 stroke outboard I can fit in the original engine well? I am berthed on the Yeocomico, and most of my sailing will be on the Potomac and nearby Chesa...
