Re: Few questions on Typhoon
look past the cosmetics and check for structural integrity such as the cockpit drains(my Typhoon almost sank upon launch), soft spots on deck, mast step (mine is sinking), cockpit and cabin floor.

Re: New mainsail for my Ty
I have a 3:1 purchase for my outhaul. Every time I make an adjustment under way, I swear I am going to replace the horn cleat with a cam or jam cleat. After reading your post,
maybe I will finally do it.

Re: AC Installation
I used to have a free standing a/c unit that had a condensation hose going to the bilge and a large vent (almost like a dryer vent) fitted to a port light. Very easy to store while sailing and set up at the dock. In retrospect I should have paid a little more and gotten a unit that both heated and c...

interior make over
I have a 1971 Typhoon Weekender with the original blue painted fiberglass interior. I am very lazy and the idea of sanding, cleaning and painting does not appeal to me. I was thinking of using some decorative light colored sheets with adhesive to cover the fiberglass. Has anyone tried this and does ...

Re: Typhoon Tiller Extension
Installs no problem on the original tiller. However, I just got a beautiful new replacement tiller from (Rudder Craft 208-375-2204) and it fits very well.

Re: Inexpensive Online Sailmaker for Typhoon
I have purchased working jib and 150 genoa from Jerry Latell who came from Deltaville to Yorktown to measure for each (bought at different times)
On on of the sails a hank had broken. I drove to Deltaville and it was fixed immediately at no charge.

Re: replacing wooden bracket on outboard mount
I was concerned that my new wooden support was full thickness top to bottom rather than tapered as original so would
need longer screws in lower holes.
Also was thinking of mounting the wood a little lower on the bracket to better immerse the prop.
