The Cape Dory Board

Looks like a super nice boat - It's at Ladds Landing Marina on Grand Isle at the north end of Lake Champlain in Vermont, see their website for more info.

I removed the 3/4 " wide black stripe tape from the hull of my 1983 25D last week. Given how crooked it was I'm guessing that it wasn't original to the boat. My problem is the slightly raised glossy adhesive that bonded the stripe to the hull. So far I've tried Goo-B-Gone, alcohol, acetone, daw...
