Re: Line Drawings for Cape Dorys
Tim, Thanks so much for the photos! They provided me with a "V8 Moment" (palm to forehead) ... of course ... turn multiple copies of the lines into station templates! I like the change of wood to denote the LWL. I'm not at all familiar with half-modelling of boats, but I suppose that's a t...

Re: Line Drawings for Cape Dorys
I don't find 'Rant' in a member user ID search, so he may not be a member presently. However, if anyone knows how to get in touch with him to see if he still has the original vector file for the CD27 Lines drawing posted here in PDF format, I would be interested in such. I've seen the photo of a hal...

CD 27 Mast Step Questions - Design & Construction
CD 27 Owners and other Experts: As you know, the CD 27 has a deck-stepped mast with no obvious compression post below. Please share the knowledge you have regarding this design, and any information that would be useful to us (actual plans & dimensions, for instance) in evaluating the extent to w...

Re: Books For Sale
I'm interested in the two Pardy books ... going to 48197 (Ypsilanti, Michigan).
No rush ... USPS "book rate" is fine. Please advise as to cost and how you'd like to receive payment.

Re: CD 27 "Holding Tank" Capacity?
By the way, NorthStar, our CD27 also came equipped with a Westerbeke 13 that the surveyor said was in fair working condition. However, we will be converting the boat to full electric propulsion before re-launching. Does your boat have shore power? Ours does not, but I'll need to add it. Just wonderi...

Re: CD 27 "Holding Tank" Capacity?
Thank you for the feedback! Ours is a 1983 vintage CD 27, hull #257. Includes the folding dining table, too, plus two fresh water tanks totaling ~25 gal. One under the v-berth, and one under the port berth. The holding tank inlet and outlet are located just forward of the engine, accessed by removin...

CD 27 "Holding Tank" Capacity?
The CD 27 we bought and brought over to Michigan from Mystic in the spring of 2018 (and are still rehab-ing!) apparently uses a void in the keel as a waste holding tank. I don't know how common this was on CD's, but I'd never encountered this design in my limited previous experience. I'm not sure I ...
