Typhoon hull number badge
The hull plate badge, or whatever it's called, says that my 1974 typhoon was built in West Bridgewater. I thought Cape Dory was in East Taunton, MA.

How to build a boom crutch for my ty
I'd like to build a more useful boom crutch. Any thoughts? Pictures?

What is the width of the base of a typhoon keel?
I'm making some modifications to my trailer and would like to place a couple of 2X4's so the keel will ride between them, it doesn't look like I have enough room. Any thoughts?
Also, pardon my ignorance but, is all the weight of the boat suppose to rest on the keel as opposed to the stands?

Re: Outboard won't start on way to mo0ring
So, use the main instead of the jib? I just got the CD Typhoon this spring and have sailed about 5 times. My mooring is at the far end of the field so, I guess that's a good thing, if I'm coming in without a motor.

Any advice on what to do when you've got your sails down on the way to mooring, and the outboard won't start? Sail to mooring? throw out an anchor?
