when I took the steaming / decklight off my 36 it took the same bulbs that were in the cabin lights. I replaced the steaming light with an LED fitting. Hope to see you the weekend before memorial day weekend at the second annual Cape Dory Rendezvous in St Michaels this spring! we had 5 cape dory 36'...

In my 36, I added 4 inches of foam blueboard inside the icebox and then glasses it over.

If money is no object, there is no reason not to install vacuum panels inside the box. these are thin, they are expensive (but not too bad). a 1" thick panel adds R-40 insulation
