Re: CD300 Motorsailer Rigging
Joe, Glad to hear that you are in the water. I hope that you have a great sailing season. I didn't get to spent the time I would have liked to researching the problem. I did however take off a piece of trim on the starboard bulkhead on the main cabin side to see how and if the bulkhead was attached ...

Re: CD300 Motorsailer Rigging
Joe, I did see the owners manual and scrolled through most of it. Very Informative. I removed the trim from the top of the bulkhead on the starboard side and found nothing but a couple screws that either were connecting the wall to the ceiling or someone added them to attempt a repair for this issue...

Re: CD300 Motorsailer Rigging
Hi Joe, I would like to see a manual for this boat myself. I don't believe the cabin top and deck joint are the issues. That area looks to be a single mold. I believe there should be a connection between the cabin top and the bulkheads. I'm going follow this approach. It looks like there may have be...

Re: CD300 Motorsailer Rigging
Hi Joe, Thanks for replying. The upper shrouds and the fore and backstays keep the mast down tight to the cabin top and the compression post. No problem there. The lowers, port and starboard attach to the sides of the cabin top. I would imagine it's the same of your boat. When the lowers are tighten...

CD300 Motorsailer Rigging
Good Morning All, We recently sold our CD 270 and purchased a 1989 CD300 Motorsailer. There is an issue that escaped me and apparently the surveyor at the tome of the survey. When the lower shrouds are tightened and not to the tension they should be at, the cabin top starts to raise. Resulting in a ...

Thruhull repair on CD270
Two of the seven thruhulls on my CD270 are weeping water a bit when the boat is first put in the water for the season but stops within a week or so. I'm thinking of replacing the woodblocks between the hull and the seacock with some type of plastic material and reinstalling the original seacocks. if...
