Will table from 28 fit 27?

Greetings, Just purchased '77 CD 27. Would like the folding table instead of the modified pedestal table that came with it. Will a folding table from a 28 fit a 27? Are they the same? Or are they different for each model? I have a line on a table from a 28 but it is out of state and would be purchas...

Drones, anyone use one?

Greetings,

Drones seem like a cool way to get pictures of the boat. Anyone have one, can you make recommendations. Has to be reasonably priced, already have enough springtime expenses.

Thanks.

Re: Spinnaker pole and boat hook storage

Taking delivery of a CD 27 in a couple of weeks.

Looks like I could use these. Could your son print up a couple more? I would have to measure my spinnaker pole.

Thanks

Re: Mast plate dimensions

Thanks people,

Kathy the boat looks beautiful. Thanks for the idea. Is that the Newport bridge in the back ground? Or some other suspension bridge closer to your home.

Re: CD 25 smooth running engine options

Greetings, In your situation do you require the full 6 HP? I don't own one but the reviews on the electric torqueedos have been good. That will get you the quiet but with limited range and power. Also will take a chunk out of your wallet. I have the same Tohatsu as you, yes it is noisy. It is in a S...

Mast plate dimensions

Greetings, Purchasing a CD 27 and while the mast is down I want to install a mast plate for future turning blocks. The boat is not close by and I need to know dimensions of mast step to order the mast plate. Garhaur has one that has dimension of 5.5 inches by 3.75 inches. I think that would fit. Any...

Plastic builder's late

Inspecting my (new to me) CD 27 and saw that the builders plate is (gasp) plastic! Did some come with the bronze builders plate and some plastic? I guess one of the first "improvements" will be to get the bronze from Bristol Bronze. She'll probably point higher and sail above hull speed. W...

WTB cockpit cushions

WTB Cockpit cushions for CD 27. Shipping would probably be a problem so should be in New England. I live in RI. Or good place to have them made.

Cape Dory 14 restore questions

To those of you who have restored or otherwise worked on the 14.
Is the centerboard trunk covered with wood veneer? Can I strip it and revarnish?
What year is hull # 523 or how do I find out?

Thanks, Walter

Re: CD 14 nearing completion

Dan,

Thanks for the photos of the lower rudder attachment. Now I know what I'm looking for. I searched the Sparten catalog in the past but maybe I'll give them a call.

Re: CD 14 nearing completion

Thanks for posting the pictures, beautiful work. I have a CD 14 that I acquired last season and used for rowing around my cove. Planning to replace rotten pieces of gunnel this spring along with compound and polish hull, strip and revarnish woodwork, paint interior and make a few improvements. Your ...
