yes it would make the trip...photo's later this week.....I do have a marina operator/boat hauler here in town that goes to the west coast of Fl to his winter home right about Feb....he goes down in a 3/4 qtr ton flatbed and may be delivering a boat on a trailer...easily carry the Cape Dory in the fl...

Cape Dory 14 for sale.....fully restored with sail/oars/trailer all in excellent condition. Asking $1800. Located in RI ...now under shrink wrap for the winter. Hull number 345.

Dan....yes i do have a plastic (black) plug in the bottom of the mast. I found in rigging the sails that I redid the attachment on the spirit and it seems to go into the pulley on the mainmast whereas before it would "hang " up short of the pulley . This seems to have worked as I went sail...
