Re: Free Typhoon Parts

I live outside Urbanna, VA, just off the Rappahannock River. Looks like the blocks are spoken for, but the sails and boom are still up in the air.

Free Typhoon Parts

I have a Typhoon Weekender. I have replaced the Main and Jib on her and no longer have use for the old main and jib. I also had to replace the boom on my boat because the old boom seemed to be for a Daysailer and not a Weekender. I do not know if the mainsail is a Daysailer on Weekender but I am lea...

Re: Typhoon sailmaker recommendations

Ullman Sails in Deltaville VA did mine and most of the sails around here. Most Typhoon that win the Wednesday night beer can races, at RRYC, are Ullman sails. Jerry is doing a great job and knows the boat well. I am pretty sure the last Nationals winner was using Jerry's sails. Check out 2016 Rappah...

Re: Typhoon boom to short

Last week, I found out that my Typhoon Weekender boom was short, I ordered a new one early Monday morning, this week, from Dwyer Aluminum Mast Company. This afternoon, Thursday, the UPS man brought me my shinny new boom. The cost was very reasonable and 4 day delivery incredible. I went straight to ...

Re: Tiller replacement question

You indicated you are using a company that makes replacement tillers, would you please let us know who it is. I have looked at my tiller and have been thinking about replacing it. I am looking for a good company to do the work.

Free Typhoon Daysailor boom

I have a boom from my Typhoon Weekender that is too short. If you cut 4 inches off it, it would work great for a Daysailor. You can have it for free, either pick it up here outside Urbanna Virginia, or pay shipping to where you need it. Leave a message here and I will try to contact you.

Typhoon boom to short

Today, when trying my new main sail, I found out that my boom on my Typhoon Weekender was only 8'4", not 8' 9" as it should be. I will be replacing the boom, so I no longer need the short boom. I have removed the end fittings but a cost of zero is tough to beat. Now if you have a Typhoon D...

Re: Using Mac computer on board ??

I checked on ebay and found many 12 V dc converters for Mac. Most cost from $ 25 to $30. Just be sure and educate your self to if you have a MagSafe or MagSafe 2 connection. Apple does sell a adaptor for $ 9.99, so even if you get the older MagSafe, you can still convert it to MagSafe 2. You will ne...

Re: Typhoon Weekender Transom

I too have been working on my transom. Here is a pix of it with the aluminum rail at the top of my transom. I hope it helps. Took the pix to show the makers of my boat name label that it was defective, as you too can see. They are making me a new one.

Re: The Value Of Our Board

I too can attest to the value of the board. Not too long ago, I purchased a Typhoon that was "almost" done with an overhaul. I went to put in the backstay pad eye and had no idea if it was held in place by screws or bolts. After a little searching on the board, I found out that it is 1/4-2...
