Due to unrelated issues a potential buyer is no longer able to conclude the purchase so Innisfail is back on the market. Please email me with any questions.

Re: For Sale – 1986 Cape Dory 330

Updating listing to include a NEW Raymarine EV-100 wheel autopilot that I just ordered ($1600) to replace the existing autopilot. I have not received it yet, but it will be included with the sale. The old one was not reliable so was not listed on the equipment listing as being provided with the sale...

Re: Need Marina/Boat Club Recommendations in MA/RI

Greg - Congratulations on the new fiancé. Most of the Buzzards Bay harbors are excellent choices and since you can change from season to season the cost can be a significant factor until your sure the area is convenient. I am on my private mooring at the top of Buzzards Bay in Onset with our CD330, ...

Re: CD330 with M30 not exceeding 2000 RPMs

I have done more research and read over the M30 Owners Manual, Parts List, and Tech Manual. I now know the M30 has an overspeed governor which is a pretty complex assortment of springs and levers....now I am scared. I have read that it is a "centrifugal ball weight system" (means nothing t...

Re: CD330 with M30 not exceeding 2000 RPMs

Thanks Steve - I should have mentioned, the hull is clean and so is the prop. I can't get the RPMs above 2000 even when the trans is in neutral and no load on the engine. I did replace my fuel pump a few years back, but it was within spec for psi and don't think that is the concern.

CD330 with M30 not exceeding 2000 RPMs

It is very rare that I push my M30 in my 330, but today I could have used an extra push while fighting an exceptionally strong current but I could not get anything more. My M30 was rebuilt about 5 years ago and runs great, but I found today I can not exceed 2,000 RPMs. I can continue to advance the ...

Re: Repowering a CD33 or CD330

We did not "repower" but rebuilt the original M-30 over the winter. Given the limited use our engine gets we figured the 50% cost savings over the repower was justification. We removed and reinstalled the engine ourselves, and transported it to/from Hansen marine for the work. We also avoi...
