I`m thinking about buying new sails for my Typhoon. I received a price of $897 for the main and $489 for a 110 jib. Is this a good price? If not, any other sailmakers from those who recently bought new sails for their TY.

After I unstepped my Typhoon mast, the jib halyard got caught and got pulled inside the bottom of the mast. Any ideas on how to get the jib halyard back down through the mast bottom and on to the rollers?

I use a sail stopper from West Marine. I place it right above the opening on the mast. I also had a turks head over the opening.

What is the cabin height of the CD 25 vs. the CD 25D. I`m looking at moving up in size to a boat where I don`t have to always bend my head. I`m 5 11 and shrinking.

A 30ft. boat is a lot of boat for a person who never sailed. In your two year time frame, take some lessons, buy a much smaller boat,develope your skills. In the interim,look for that liveaboard. I think it`s a great idea.I understant that you can sail year round in the Pacific NW. Go for it
