Boat selling advice

I've just added a post to the for sale category. I'm in Miami now and am looking for some advice on selling the boat. Can anyone recommend a good inexpensive place on the E coast of FL to haul out the boat, paint, and leave for sale? Any advice on using an agent to sell the boat or doing it yourself...

S/V Alexandra Grenada to Puerto Rico

I've uploaded a new video to the blog about the boat preps to leave for Puerto Rico and the install of a steering gear. I give a little boat tour as well.

Mildew magnets

I machine washed mine when I bought the boat, and a couple were damaged in this way. I'd suggest hand-washing. Just last week I removed all but 3 of them (in the v-berth and head) and threw them away. I'm in Grenada and they were pretty useless; it's so hot here you always want the portholes open, a...

Hello fellow CD owners, I have been keeping my blog http://sailingexpeditionalexandra.blogspot.com updated as much as I can, so feel free to read more about my adventures, photos and mishaps since I left Charleston Feb 15th. I have just finished up the BVI's and arrived in Anguilla, passing the lone...

S/V Alexandra Departs south from Charleston

Ahoy there,
I've left Charleston, SC and am now at anchor in Ft Pierce, where it is very windy/ gusty at the moment. I just created a blog today to keep people updated. Please feel free to follow my voyage south.

What doing

Hey Marv, happy to give an update. Things were a bit slow around the holidays, but I've been doing some projects on the boat as well as collecting books, charts, and knowledge about sailing south along the Caribbean and on down South America. Speaking of charts; if any one has any to sell or let me ...

That's a great shot. Here's one I caught while on a Norfolk to Atlantic City trip. <a href="http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad99/eubankp/Finally%20Sailing/Atlantic%20City%20Sail/DSCN2172.jpg"><img width="600" src="http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad99/eubankp/Finally%20...

Frying Pan Shoals

Matt, I passed through the Frying Pan shoals an hour or so before sunrise, I was using my GPS and charts and could see one of the lights on the chart. You can see in the photo below my general course through. http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/ad99/eubankp/frypan.jpg I decided to go outside of Cape ...

Miami

Zeida,
I may take you up on that, it would be great to have contacts along the way, especially Miami. I'm in Charleston for a couple months to prepare for this trip so I'd enjoy meeting with anyone in the area and talk/ show boats.

inlets

Thanks, The music is from my favorite movie "The Sand Pebbles." Both Bogue and New River inlets are awful and I recommend skipping both. I touched bottom on both and were I a more experienced sailor, I never would have tried it, I would have known better. If you have to choose one, use New...

Lexi

My crew member Lexi. Loves to stand in front of whatever you need to get at and lean against the bottom of the wheel to add some friction.
